At times loved ones need our support. For over 50 years the Hermitage Roanoke team has helped families dealing with changes evaluate their options and make choices they can feel good about. Often these changes or the realization that it is time for a CHANGE occurs in a very narrow window of time.
We take the time to be sure you think about next steps…be that moving back home after a respite stay or being sure your loved one doesn’t have to find a new home if their level of living changes again.
Hermitage Roanoke is a not-for-profit, continuing care retirement community with the 70 year history of Pinnacle Living system to support its local mission. The community does not require an entrance fee and allows resident to move directly into all levels of senior living at our Roanoke residence.
Our person centered philosophy ensures you and your loved one keep your voice and your routine intact whether you stay for a few weeks of respite or decide this is the place to call home. Daily routines such as; sleeping, rising, napping; what and where to eat; preferences for privacy or socialization are their choices no matter what level of living they call home.
Residents (singles and couples) can move within the community as their needs change which helps them stay close to their friends, old and new, and the team that knows them well.
Hermitage Roanoke is CARF certified. This certification is the equivalent of a good housekeeping seal of approval that fewer than 15% of the communities in the nation have earned. CARF communities improve quality, services and value by meeting internationally recognized organizational and program standards. Accreditation is an ongoing process, communicating clearly that the community is committed to continuously improving services, is open to feedback, and focused on serving the community. Accreditation demonstrates commitment to enhance performance, manage risk, and distinguished service delivery.
Our team and our residents are here for you to visit with and learn more. Come see and feel for yourself why so many people have chosen Hermitage in Roanoke for decades.

My sister and I would like to express our thanks to you and to the staff of The Hermitage in Roanoke for helping us celebrate the 100th Birthday of our aunt, Roberta Copenhaver. As you know, we live in Maryland, 300 hundred miles from Roanoke. This caused us considerable concern as to how we were going to arrange her party.
